PPHC Golf Tournament

The PPHC Golf Tournament was a big success. The Pickwick Parrot Heads raised $2000.00 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thanks to all the players and volunteers for helping make the event a success.

2009 General Membership Meeting

Hello Parrotheads,
We held the first General Membership meeting for 2009. John Surratt, President, lead the meeting. Dates were discussed for the upcoming year events.

June 5, 2009 PPHC Golf Tournament starting at 1:00pm

February Social

Hello Parrotheads,
We had a great February social last night at Jon's Pier. We had a large turn out and added 14 members. We collected $73.00 on donations for a stuffed animal thanks to Irene Barnes and Linda Rooks. We also collected many can goods to help area churches donate to families in need. We received funds from some in place of can goods. We will continue collecting can goods and money at each monthly social to help others in our community.

We raised $450.00 from our Super Bowl Fundraiser. Thanks to Don Barnes for chairing the fundraiser.

We are still receiving 2009 membership dues. We now are up to 60 members. If you have not yet renewed for 2009, please send to:

Monthly Social January 2 at Jon's Pier

Hello Parrotheads,
Tonight is the first social of the New Year and we hope all come out to "Party with a Purpose". We are starting a food can drive for each monthly social so we can give to local families in need. If you forget your can good, please donate a dollar which will be saved for buying meats and other needed items for the families at holiday time.

Hope to see you all tonight at 6pm at Jon's Pier. We will be meeting in the bar.

Halloween booth at Plantation

From Irene Barnes:
PPHC,
John Surratt paid for PPHC to have a booth Halloween night at the
Plantation. We are ging to decorate the booth Friday during the day.
I need Candy from each of you if you are coming to Pickwick anytime
before Halloween night. I will also except money and will go and buy
the candy. Sam Bonds is getting hay and corn stalks for us. Please
come and help us and join in making the kids in Pickwick here have a
good Halloween.

Thanks for a successful Alzheimer Walk

Thanks to all for your help with our successful Alzheimer Walk on Saturday October 4th, 2008.

PPHC appreciates all the money raised and all that helped make the walk a success. At this point, PPHC has raised $1855.00 and all the money has not yet been collected. Great job PPHC.
